Third Man Records has released a limited edition gold and platinum record set for the feature film The Great Gatsby’s soundtrack. Assembled by hand, the deluxe metallized discs come packaged in a laser-cut birch wood LP jacket, riveted to aluminium spines.
The soundtrack for Baz Luhrmann’s adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel was executively produced by Jay Z and features an all-star line-up with Jack White, Florence +The Machine, Beyoncé & André 3000, will.i.am, Lana Del Rey, and more.
These unique hand made sets will retail for $250 and will be available in a limited number through the Third Man website (US only). Third Man is also announcing the release date of June 11th for the standard edition double album. The soundtrack will be on 180 gram vinyl and housed in a Gold Foil stamped gatefold sleeve.
